¿y tú, quién eres?
“The place in which I’ll fit will not exist until I make it.”
ClayQueeries is a joyful meditation exploring color, form, and space through functional pottery. Each piece contemplates the sacred and looks for opportunities to create new rituals that give our life meaning. I am because I create.
Founded by Aram Guzman in 2018, ClayQueeries is a queer-led ceramic practice rooted in spiritual inquiry and personal liberation. Aram is a queer, formerly undocumented designer born in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He studied philosophy and architecture and believes we can heal and achieve liberation through creative expression.
All pieces are handmade by Aram in his Silver Lake studio. Aram is passionate about resourcefulness, using, reusing, and recycling clay and glazes. Every object is crafted with care and intention—offerings include plates, bowls, vases, planters, tumblers, incense smokers, and mosaic mirrors.
ClayQueeries is an invitation to create meaning through form. It is a practice of becoming, a spiritual offering grounded in queer identity and lived experience.
